One of my two favorite sushi restaurants. Everything I've tried at Hokkaido has been very delicious and just right to my taste. Prices match the quality.
The Nguyễn Đình Chiểu branch is relatively spacious compared to the other branches. The staff are quick and friendly. Sometimes when the restaurant is too crowded, dishes may come out a bit slowly, but it's understandable 🤗

Used it for entertaining Japanese residents in Vietnam. We made a reservation in advance through the booking site. The email responses were quick, which was reassuring.
We booked the chef’s-choice tuna course. They serve fish with a level of freshness on par with Japan. There was also a wide variety of shochu and sake, and we were satisfied.
The sushi, which is the main thing, was very delicious—we were extremely satisfied.
If you’re going to eat sushi in Vietnam, I recommend this place.

I had the Aoyama course, starting with an appetizer, then sashimi, sea urchin maki (generous portions and not fishy at all), steamed horsehair crab (they serve half a crab with the meat already picked out, and the meat tasted sweet), wagyu steak, maki, and so on.
It felt like an omakase course you’d get in Japan, and each dish was delicious.
One thing that was a bit lacking was that the dishes were served course by course without any explanation; it would be even better if explanations were added so you know what you’re eating.
They also have separate meal options, so I plan to visit next time for a regular meal.
